We have the ability to have labels on templates, and those same labels show on the saved sections, if we could have the ability to have separate labels on saved sections and then those labels turn into folders in the email editor that would help us greatly.
Example labels
Headers
One Column Sections
Two Column Sections
Three Column Sections
Staff Thumbnails
Buttons

On this feature request, we have recently had an issue where, while cleaning up our process and rebuilding our templates, we deleted all historical templates and with them went every image that was added at the template level, broken image URLs across all previous campaigns, including those sent less than a month ago.
By having an image library to store assets separate from saved sections, templates and campaigns we can know that our campaigns will still look great in the future and like Dave shared above, make using images multiple times a much better user experience (and surely save disk space when users don't upload them multiple times)
Our alternative solution right now is to FTP our images up to a hosted server and then use those URLs in our campaigns, not a great user experience.
